At Gold Carbon, we specialize in providing high-quality activated carbon solutions designed to optimize the gold recovery process. Our products are engineered to meet the rigorous demands of the mining industry, ensuring efficient and effective extraction of gold from ore.
Activated carbon, also known as activated charcoal, is a highly porous material with a vast surface area, making it an excellent adsorbent. It plays a critical role in the gold recovery process, by adsorbing gold cyanide complexes from solution, activated carbon helps in recovering gold from ore efficiently.
Gold Recovery Processes Using Activated Carbon
- Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP): This process involves adding activated carbon directly to the gold-bearing pulp (a mixture of ore and water). The carbon adsorbs the gold as the pulp is agitated.
- Carbon-in-Leach (CIL): In this process, the ore is leached with a cyanide solution to extract the gold. The leach solution is then passed through a column containing activated carbon, which adsorbs the gold.
- Carbon-in-Column (CIC): CIC is a variation of CIL where the activated carbon is contained in a column and the leach solution is passed through it.
